In a nutshell, the best time to go to Rome begins from about March 15th and ends about the end of May. The Mediterranean climate makes Rome very hot during the summer. So if you are sensitive to high temperatures, it’s not a good idea to visit Rome after May. If you are interested in the mild winters, you should visit Rome in this season. Usually, the temperature is above 0ºC and it rarely snows. October, November, January, and February are the coldest among the months.

Depending on the specific time of the year, daylight hours may vary from 9 (in December) to 15 (in June). To find the best time to go to Rome, you should first consider what type of activities are you going to do. If interested in nightlife, wintertime suits your goals and if looking for outdoor activities, you should travel after March.
